The Marcels

Single highlight on this CD is "Goodbye To Love". Same track that is also sung by The Chantels.

Rick And The Masters

These guys do a nice job on their take of "Let It Please Be You". However, not really a big, shinning standout to recommend you to go out and pick up this CD.

The Safaris

I originally picked up Vol. 2 just to have Otis Williams And The Charms' take on "Image Of A Girl". Besides stopping at the track that track I flew through the rest of the material rather quickly. Vol. 1 was not much different. The highlight for me there was "Touch Of Love" by The Enchanters.

The Chimes Meet The Videls

The strong track here is "Once In A While" by The Chimes. If you like pop oldies then you will appreciated the rest of the material. If pop is not your thing there are various other comps out there with this track.

The Imaginations

If you have the Collectables release featuring The Imaginations (Meet The Charades) then you are set, same highlights.

The Duprees

A couple of nice, standard tracks in "You Belong To Me" and "Have You Heard".

The Best Of Doo Wop

A budget priced collection of standard Doo Wop tracks. Highlights include tracks by The Jesters, The Scarlets, The Vocaleers, The Charts and The Velvets. Nothing really unique on this series.

Reminder To All

A quick reminder to all, since I keep getting requests, I DO NOT post any links for downloads! I do not care for trading files with anyone. I don't care to have MP3 files as it sacrifices sound quality. Nothing posted here is for sale much less to be given away for free. No "hook up" copies will be provided to you. Save your time and mine and don't ask! If you want to continue to get treated to rare soul compilations then buy legit copies. This is the only way we can support those who have incredible vinyl collections and motivate them to continue to put them out on CD to share with the rest of us.

* NEW * Lynwood Soul 3

An absolute must have for the sweet soul fan. This volume is packed with rare, high dollar sweet soul that you just won't find anywhere else. Contained here are the A & B sides of a killer 45 by The Tridels that alone will set you back over $1,000. A few repeats but the new to CD's tracks are among the rarest you can find. Every song is straight from vinyl so there will be some sound quality variations. Highlights by Los Invasores (a little taste of Panamanian soul at it's finest), Kitty And Her Kats, The Emanons and Little Ty And Soul Suspension.

Dore L.A. Soul Sides 2

"I Want You" by Dee Torres made this a must have for me. Other notable tracks are all repeats, "My Pillow" by The Darlings, "As I Sit Here" by The Whispers and "I Wanna Chance" by The Vows. Always top notch sound quality and liner notes from the kind folks at Ace Records.
