Sounds Of The Barrio

Here is the latest underground release of sweet soul jams. One of the best CD's to hit the scene in recent years! Standout rare oldies that have not been used and abused on other compilations. Killer tracks by The Equations, Bump And The Soul Stompers, Black Soul Express, Harvey And The Phenomenals and many others. A must for your sweet soul oldies collection.

Ohio Players

A couple slow gems hidden in piles of funk by The Ohio Players. "Varee Is Love" and "Ain't That Loving You" make the very best of release well worth the pick up.

The Commodores

A bargain priced CD with a couple of nice standard slow jams. This is one of those pick ups to compliment by collection but will get little playtime.

Cameo

A one track buy for me on this CD. Besides "Why Have I Lost You" (version 1), I did not play any other track all the way through.

Killer sweet soul jams by little known Billy Jones & The Stars. Highlights include "My Baby's Gone",  their take on "Love Is Gonna Rain On You", "Save All My Lovin'" and an interesting take on Barbara Mason's "Yes, I'm Ready". A must for your collection.

Mark IV

Nice rare slow jams such as "My Everything You Are", "I'm The One Who Loves You" and "I'm So Glad To Be A Part Of You" appear on this CD by The Mark IV. There are only a couple of options out there for those looking for Mark IV material. Pick this up before they disappear or the price gets insane.

Relatively unknown even within the soul music collector circles. The Numero Group does another fantastic job bringing another rare soul group back to life. Highlights include "One Day" and the mid tempo "Gotta Get Through To You".
