*New* South Side Story

Many repeats but as with other Numero Group releases the sound quality is a step above most other compilations out there. The Numero Group does not cease to impress with their releases. This is a very limited release so hurry up and get yours before they disappear. Killer tracks by The Mystics, The Notations, Renaldo Domino, The Si-Berians and others. Hands down a must have for any serious soul music fan.

*New* Psycho Soul Vol. 2

As with volume 1 all tracks here are repeats. Some do sound better but many do not. The amount of tracks you get for the price cannot be beat. For some of us with an extensive collection this is expensive cover and box. For me the highlights include tracks that have not been used too much on other comps such as "In Love With You" by John Gary Williams, "The Search Is Over" by Race, Class And Power, "When I Say Goodbye" by Jerry & Willa and "It Must be Love" by Full Speed. I am kicking the rating down one due to the less than impressive selection of tracks, way too many repeats.

Basement Tracks

When I spotted "Let Me Keep On Walking" by Prophecy I just had to have this CD. Other notable tracks include "For You Girl" by Universal Mind, "I Can't Take No More Chances" by The Chosen Few and "With You" by The Moments.

Ridin' Low Slow Jammin'

Not as good as their "Slammin' Oldies" release as this expands from the 70's to early 90's. Late 70's is about the most I care to listen to. When you start getting into the 80's and so on I keep my finger close to the skip button. If you're a slow jam fan and don't mind the sounds of Shalamar or Teddy Pendergrass then you are safe picking this one up.

Satisfaction Unlimited

For me the must have track on this CD is "Let's Change The Subject". This was the driving force behind this pick up. "Think Of The Children" is decent but the rest of the material did not catch much of my attention.

Terry Huff & Special Delivery

Rare sweet soul jams here include "I Destroyed Your Love", "Come Back With Love" and "That's When Love Hurts". A must have for the soul fanatic.

The Ambassadors

A couple of outstanding tracks here by The Ambassadors. "I Really Love You" and their medley of "Yes I'm ready / I'll Try Something New" make this a must have CD.

The Incredibles

The title track, "Heart And Soul" and "I'll Make It Easy" are by far the standouts on this release.

Roses Are Red

Another budget release, re-shuffle job. All common tracks, good sound quality.

Rare Soul

Only a few notable tracks on this release. "It's Paradise" by Lenny Vestel, "Can't He Take A Hint" by Kenni Woods and "Mr. Soft-Touch" by The Marvels. Sound quality varies.
