Eddie Floyd

"I've Never Found A Girl", "Watcha Gonna Do With My Heart" and "I'm So Glad I Met You" are the standouts in this release.

Eddie Kendricks

I picked this one up for the nice slow jam "Intimate Friends".

Jimmy Ruffin

I picked this one up just to say I have it and I had spotted it for a very good price. The sounds here are just not my thing, this one will go to the bottom of my pile.

Spotlite On Goldisc Records

A good pick up that counts with good tracks by The Schoolboys, The Orlandos, The Ducanes, The Persians and Cleo And The Crystaliers. A must for the Doo Wop fan.

The Best Of Robin Hood Records

Highlights on this one include "Florence, Don't Leave Me" by The Paragons, "A Long Time Ago" by The Impressions, "Teardrops Fell" by The Scarlets and "First Kiss" by The Vireos. Sound quality varies. A decent pick up for the Doo Wop fan.

Spotlite On Warwick Records

A few really nice ballads in this two volume series, "It's All In Your Mind" by Dean Barlow And Group (answer song to "All In My Mind" by Maxine Brown), "Dry Your Eyes" by The Inspirations, "Always" by The Distants and "Dearest One" by The Fashions. Recommended for the Doo Wop fan.

Gene & Eunice

Here is one that will take the most dedicated early R&B fan to truly enjoy. The standout out is "This Is My Story" followed closely by "Have You Changed Your Mind" and "The Vow".

The Marcels

Single highlight on this CD is "Goodbye To Love". Same track that is also sung by The Chantels.

Rick And The Masters

These guys do a nice job on their take of "Let It Please Be You". However, not really a big, shinning standout to recommend you to go out and pick up this CD.

The Safaris

I originally picked up Vol. 2 just to have Otis Williams And The Charms' take on "Image Of A Girl". Besides stopping at the track that track I flew through the rest of the material rather quickly. Vol. 1 was not much different. The highlight for me there was "Touch Of Love" by The Enchanters.

The Chimes Meet The Videls

The strong track here is "Once In A While" by The Chimes. If you like pop oldies then you will appreciated the rest of the material. If pop is not your thing there are various other comps out there with this track.

The Imaginations

If you have the Collectables release featuring The Imaginations (Meet The Charades) then you are set, same highlights.

The Duprees

A couple of nice, standard tracks in "You Belong To Me" and "Have You Heard".

The Best Of Doo Wop

A budget priced collection of standard Doo Wop tracks. Highlights include tracks by The Jesters, The Scarlets, The Vocaleers, The Charts and The Velvets. Nothing really unique on this series.
