Golden Doo Wops
A lot of odd ball, long forgotten tracks make up this compilations. Highlights include "Sad And Broken Hearted" by Dora Tapp, "Baby Baby" by The Five Stars, "Some Other Guy" by Frankie Ervin & The Shields, "Drip Drop On My Pillow" by Charles Wright, "I'm A Fool (In Love)" by L.H. & The Memphis Sounds, "You're Laughing At Me" by Bobby Maxwell & The Exploits, "You're The Reason" by The Charts and "It's No Good" by The Mandells. As expected with such rare material the sound quality varies.

Spotlite on Roulette Records
A couple of solid ballads in "She Wasn't Meant For Me" by The Shells and "Wedding Bells" by Tiny Tim & The Hits make this a recommended pick up for the Doo Wop fan. Other notable tracks by more popular artists of the era such as The Heartbeats and The Turbans, The Cleftones and The Edsels round out the good tracks on this compilation. Very good sound quality.

Laurie Vocal Groups, The Doo Wop Sound
"Daddy's Going Away Again" by The Harps is a beautiful ballad worth the price of this CD. The rest of the material leans more towards the pop side than the R&B side where my passion resides.

The Viscaynes & Friends
"Eight Reasons Why" by The Precisions, "Without Success" by The Individuals, "Heavenly Angel" and "A Long Time Ago" by The Viscaynes are my top picks here. Very good sound quality. Will make a nice addition to those Sly Stone fans looking for his early material.
