Another soul legend that sadly was taken far too early in his carrier (December 15, 1932 – February 6, 1960). Thanks to the folks at Virgin, Jasmine,Specialty and Ace Records his work did not get lost in time and now is widely available. Highlights include "Girl Of My Dreams", "Beware", "Goodnight My Love" and "Once Upon A Time", "Let's Try Romance" and "Let Me Dream".
The second CD on the Jasmine release was to me, weak. I will probably not play that disc again anytime soon.
